Steven Vlad

I am a rheumatologist and epidemiologist based in the Boston area and am affiliated with Tufts Medical Center.

I practice general rheumatology but have a special clinical interest in spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis.

My research training is in pharmacoepidemiology and I have experience designing observational studies and clinical trials. I lead clinical trials at Tufts Medical Center in areas including Sjogren’s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and sarcoidosis.

I serve on committees for the American College of Rheumatology and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. I have done some consulting work and will consider selected projects.

I enjoy wine and other fine beverages.
